seeking a compassionate and reliable Live-In Caregiver to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals with mental health and substance use challenges in a structured, home-like environment.
As a Live-In BHT, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and supportive space while helping residents build stability, independence, and life skills.
This position includes on-site housing and is best suited for candidates who value meaningful work and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 supervision and support in a residential setting (with scheduled breaks and relief coverage)
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) (hygiene, meals, organization, routines)
- Support and reinforce treatment plans and behavioral goals
- Monitor and document resident behavior, mood, and progress
- Assist with medication observation/reporting (per policy)
- Facilitate or support group activities and structured programming
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state regulations
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Respond appropriately to crisis situations and follow escalation protocols
- Support transportation needs and community integration (as applicable)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in behavioral health, caregiving, or residential care preferred
- Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders is a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Possess a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Strong communication, professionalism, and boundaries
Pay: $120.00 - $150.00 per day
