Job Summary
We are seeking a strong, compassionate, and dedicated live-in caregiver to provide exceptional support to an individual living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene standards.
- Support mobility and physical activity through safe transfer techniques and encouragement to promote strength and independence.
- Maintain a clean, organized living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and sanitation routines.
- Document care activities meticulously in accordance with care plans and healthcare regulations; participate in regular reviews to optimize support strategies.
- Inlcudes driving him to his parents or work in his own van where wheel chair fits. He goes to work 4-5 times / week for 4-5 hours / day.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in home & community care settings or assisted living environments; group home or nursing home experience is highly valued.
- Must understand English as customer communicates clearly
- Ability to perform transfer of 160 lb person. Transfers happen 5-6 times a day. Rest of the time, he's in wheelchair
- Great enviornment for anyone to live-in. Customer is super friendly.
- Knowledge of caring for individuals with MS
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are required; additional certifications in hospice or memory care are advantageous.
- Strong patient observation skills to monitor vital signs and detect changes in health status promptly.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.

Pay: $170.00 - $200.00 per day
