We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable live-in caregiver to support an elderly couple located in Denver, NC (Zip Code 28037). This position is every other weekend and includes room and board.
Compensation:
$270 per day
About the Clients:
Anne has Alzheimer’s and recently experienced a fall. She requires memory care, supervision, companionship, assistance with mobility, and support with transfers using a Hoyer lift. There is another caregiver in the home daily from 11 AM – 4 PM focused on Anne’s care.
Larry suffered a stroke and has experienced physical and cognitive decline since then. He requires ambulation assistance, Hoyer lift transfers, medication reminders/administration throughout the day, help with meals, and overall supervision and support.
The home also has a friendly medium-sized poodle mix dog.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Preparing meals and assisting with medication management
- Performing laundry and light housekeeping
- Assisting with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
- Supporting physical therapy as needed
- Demonstrating empathy and respect for the clients and their home
- Responding promptly and responsibly in emergencies
Additional Information:
- Wife: Requires memory care, companionship, supervision, medication management, and light household duties.
- Husband: Needs assistance with transfers to/from power wheelchair.
- Pet: Medium-sized friendly dog (poodle mix).
