Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and medical needs. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will work closely with clients to deliver personalized care tailored to their unique needs, ensuring comfort and safety around the clock. Duties
- Provide comprehensive patient observation to monitor health status and respond promptly to changes or emergencies
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following medical instructions and document medication records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform vital signs assessments such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates regularly
- Support clients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice support
- Operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation
- Conduct light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Support patient care through effective communication with healthcare providers and family members while adhering to HIPAA standards
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or chronic health conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia is advantageous
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures related to long-term care is essential
- Proven ability to maintain accurate medical documentation and record keeping
- Experience using mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or performing catheter care enhances your suitability for this role
- Strong background in patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is required
Qualifcations
- Current AZ Caregiver Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Negative TB Test
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Dementia Care Training Completion
