Live-In Caregiver – Weekend Shift (IDD Group Home)

Position Overview
We are hiring a dependable and compassionate Live-In Caregiver to support three easy-going adult males with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a small, structured group-home setting.
This is a weekend live-in position covering continuous care from Friday morning through Monday morning, compensated at a daily rate. This role is ideal for caregivers who prefer extended shifts and consistent routines.
Schedule & Sleeping Details
- Live-in shift: Friday 7:00 AM → Monday 7:00 AM
- Overnight sleep hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Sleep time is included in the daily rate
- Current sleeping arrangement: couch in shared living space
- Private sleeping accommodations are not currently available, but are likely to be added in the future for successful long-term live-in staff
Caregiver must remain on site for the full duration of the shift.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, support, and companionship
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Support routines, schedules, and daily structure
- Light housekeeping related to client care
- Meal preparation and basic medication assistance
- Respond to client needs during overnight hours if required
- Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive home environment

Requirements
- Ability to commit to the full Friday–Monday live-in schedule
- Experience with IDD, caregiving, assisted living, or related fields preferred
- Reliable, responsible, and comfortable working independently
- Must pass background checks and meet state requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Comfortable with current couch sleeping arrangement for overnight hours
