Home Care Assistance is seeking compassionate and dedicated 24 HR / Live-in Caregivers to join our team for the Anchorage/Eagle River area. A sign on bonus is offered for these live in positions. The ideal candidate must have a clean background, a valid driver's license, and car insurance. Must have Caregiving experience.
This position requires a Caregiver who is comfortable with constant redirection, dementia behaviors, and being out in the community running errands and shopping with the client.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily living activities to clients.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, meal preparation, and cleaning.
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings, including grocery shopping and doctor's visits.
- Be comfortable and able to adjust to the client's changing needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare professional.
Requirements:
- Clean background
- CPR/ First Aid Certification – BLS Preferred
- Valid driver's license and insurance
- Ability to work 8 A.M to 8 A.M (24 hour) Sleep shift. Can work 2 to 4 days at a time.
- Comfortable with constant redirection and being out in the community running errands and shopping
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- High school diploma or equivalent
