Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Live-In In-Home Caregiver to provide 24/7 support to an individual in their home. The caregiver will live in the client’s home for 5–7 days at a time, sleeping and eating there, and cannot leave until a replacement caregiver arrives. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, meaning you are responsible for your own taxes and insurance.
Start Date: October 3rd
Compensation: $200/day
Responsibilities:
- Assist the client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor and document health status, including vital signs and changes in condition.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary requirements.
- Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean living environment.
- Administer medications and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans.
- Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Provide care for clients in hospice or with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
Requirements & Skills:
- Previous live-in caregiving experience required.
- Experience with hospice care and medication administration required.
- Comfortable performing heavy lifting and assisting with mobility equipment.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to client confidentiality.
- Comfortable around pets (if applicable).
- Ability to stay in the client’s home for 5–7 days at a time, until another caregiver arrives.
Additional Information:
- This is a 1099 live-in position; caregivers provide their own taxes and insurance.
- Caregiver will live in the client’s home, sleeping and eating there for 5-7 days then 5-7 days off.
