Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for clients with diverse needs. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being in a home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, disability support, or long-term care environments, and possess a strong commitment to enhancing quality of life through personalized caregiving. This is a full-time position requiring living on-site to deliver continuous, attentive care.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
Monitor and record vital signs and overall health status of residents
Administer medications following prescribed care plans and HIPAA guidelines
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Support residents with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s through memory care techniques
Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts safely and effectively
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment through regular cleaning and organization
Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to healthcare professionals or family members
Follow all safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and infection control procedures
Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities as needed

Skills

Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care settings
Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for resident transfers or mobility support
Excellent observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing health concerns early
Compassionate communication skills tailored for working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or developmental disabilities
CPR and First Aid certification preferred; ongoing training encouraged
Experience working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus
Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols

Pay: $42,172.23 - $50,788.06 per year
