Live-In Caregiver – Job Summary
The Live-In Caregiver provides compassionate, hands-on support to ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of the individual receiving care. This full-time, live-in position includes personal care, household maintenance, medication administering, and daily life assistance.
Primary ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care Assistance
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and hygiene
- Support with dressing and undressing
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance as needed
Medication Administering
- Administer prescribed medications as directed
- Document all medications administered according to policy
- Monitor for side effects or changes in condition and report promptly
- Ensure medications are stored and handled safely
Meal Preparation & Nutrition
- Prepare daily meals and snacks
- Assist with feeding if required
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen
Household Duties
- Keep the household clean and orderly at all times
- Perform routine cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, dust, and sanitize surfaces regularly
- Do laundry, change linens, and maintain overall home cleanliness
- Dispose of trash and ensure a safe, clutter-free environment
Daily Living Support
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Monitor and report any health or behavioral changes
- Assist with organizing personal items, schedules, and daily routines
Work Schedule
- Live-in position: 7 days per week
- Off-duty hours (Monday–Friday):
- 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM daily
- Saturday & Sunday:
- Provide 24-hour care (no scheduled time off)
