Job Overview
Gentle Horizons Assisted Living is a small, resident-focused assisted living home seeking a compassionate and dependable Full-Time Live-In Caregiver to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a calm residential environment and providing meaningful care to a small group of residents. The caregiver will help ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents while maintaining a supportive and respectful home atmosphere.
Private room, utilities, and meals are included. Hours are negotiable.
Duties
- Monitor residents to ensure safety and well-being
- Assist residents with bathroom needs and mobility if needed
- Respond promptly to resident requests
- Assist with food preparation
- Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean environment
- Document observations, incidents, and daily charting
- Assist with medication management when required
- Support residents with daily routines as needed
- Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive environment
Qualifications
- CPR certification required
- Experience as a caregiver or in assisted living preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Ability to work independently in a residential setting
- Background check required

Experience
- Previous experience working as a caregiver, resident assistant, or in an assisted living environment preferred
- Experience assisting residents with daily living activities (ADLs) such as mobility, toileting, and personal care
- Experience with resident charting and documentation
- Experience assisting with medication reminders or medication management preferred
- Experience working overnight or independently in a residential care setting is a plus
- Experience in small assisted living homes or group homes preferred
