Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide comprehensive in-home care for individuals with diverse needs. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being in a home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, disability support, or long-term care environments, and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This is a full-time position requiring living on-site to ensure continuous, personalized care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for changes in condition
Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization
Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, or other assistive devices safely
Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies
Document patient observations and communicate effectively with healthcare providers or family members
Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
Follow all safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and emergency procedures

Qualifications

Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care preferred
Knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, and care planning
Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment
Strong observation skills with attention to patient safety and comfort
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations ensuring client confidentiality
Flexibility to live on-site as part of the caregiving team
