Overview of Live-In Caregiver Position
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CNA as an In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they assist. This role requires a blend of practical caregiving skills and emotional support to ensure the well-being of clients, particularly those with disabilities or other health challenges.

Duties of Live-In Caregiver

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with mobility using Hoyer lifts.
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
Medications reminders and care plan adherence.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary needs.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive client information.

Qualifications of Live-In Caregiver

NC CNA required.
Experience of using a Hoyer lift.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs.
Experience working with individuals who have disabilities or special needs.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
Understanding of basic cooking and meal preparation skills tailored to client preferences.
Experience in social work or direct support roles is a plus.
Must have reliable transportation for travel to/from client home.
