Live-In Caregiver / HHA / PCA / CNA – Southington, CT
U-Turn Health is hiring experienced and compassionate Live-In Caregivers / HHAs / PCAs / CNAs to provide one-on-one in-home care for adults in Southington and surrounding Connecticut towns.
About U‑Turn Health
U‑Turn Health is a locally owned home care agency providing high‑quality, person‑centered in‑home caregiving services so adults can stay independent, safe, and comfortable at home instead of moving to a facility. We are looking for experienced Live-in Caregivers who drive and have their own Vehicle, Home Health Aides (HHA), Personal Care Assistants (PCA), Direct Support Professionals (DSP), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) who love helping people.
As a Live-in caregiver, you will:
- Provide transportation to appointments
- Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, and mobility assistance.
- Help with Instrumental ADLs (IADLs): meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, local errands/grocery shopping and appointments.
- Provide companionship and safety supervision: friendly conversation, games and activities, walks, and regular safety checks.
- Follow the individualized home care plan for each client and document visits in our mobile app.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition, safety, behavior, or schedule to the office promptly.
This is a hands‑on home care / caregiver / senior care role focusing on dignity, respect, and independence.
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Drive and Have your Own Vehicle
- Are reliable, compassionate, and patient, and treat clients like family.
- Have experience as a Caregiver, HHA, PCA, DSP, Companion, CNA, Home Care Aide, Personal Care Aide, Resident Assistant, or Direct Care Worker (any/all welcome).
- Are open to training — we will train motivated and reliable candidates who want to grow in home care and caregiving.
- Have reliable transportation to travel to client homes in and around Naugatuck.
- Can use a smartphone to clock in/out, read care plans, and complete visit notes.
- Are comfortable working independently in a client’s home, following agency policies and state regulations.
Programs & Clients We Serve We provide non-medical home care through Connecticut Medicaid Waiver programs (ABI II, PCA Waiver, CHCPE, Foster/FMLA, and related CT home- and community-based services) as well as private-pay clients needing companionship, personal care, and household support. You'll gain hands-on experience with a variety of complex care needs in one-on-one home settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, home health, assisted living, group homes, residential programs, or nursing facilities.
- CNA, HHA, PCA, or other caregiving certification/experience (formal or informal family caregiving counts).
