Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Live-In Caregiver to join our caring and committed team. As a live-in caregiver, you will reside in the client’s home and provide personalized care and support with daily living activities, companionship, and safety monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and personal care to clients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Ability to live on-site 3–5 days per week
- Assist with meal preparation, cooking nutritious meals, and adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Monitor patients' health by observing changes in condition and reporting any concerns.
- Help clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Lift and transfer clients safely while maintaining their dignity.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Document care provided and any changes in the client's condition as required.
Skills
- Experience working with people with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Proficient in meal preparation and cooking skills tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility challenges.
- Strong patient monitoring skills to assess health status accurately.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, ensuring emotional support is provided.
- Familiarity with long-term care practices and principles of direct support.
- Experience working in a group home setting is a plus.
