Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LIVE -IN Caregiver to join Lotus ALF. The caregiver will LIVE-0N SITE. A private room and bathroom are provided and support will be available during the say as needed. We are a small residental assisted living home. Our facility has maximum of 5 residents, providing a calm, family-like enviroment and allowing caregivers to focus on quality care than high pateint volume. Most residents are fairly independent, sleep throughout the night and cooperative, minimal assistance with ADL's. Our residents are generally calm, complient and easy to care for. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in quite, home-like enviroment with a small group of of residents.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and minimal mobility support
- Remind residents to take their medications per docotrs order.
- Prepare meals following a premade dietry menu.
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care strategies.
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
- Follow activity calander
- Document patient observations, medication administration, and other relevant information accurately
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Excellent observational skills for patient safety and early detection of health issues
- Compassionate communication skills to provide emotional support and build trust with residents
- Ability to work independently in a live-in environment while managing 5 residents effectively
