Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional support and companionship to individuals at a 6 bed RCFE This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will work closely with clients to promote independence, safety, and comfort while delivering personalized care tailored to each individual's needs. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes or concerns
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, and other assistive devices safely
- Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through regular cleaning and organization
- Document patient progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living atmosphere
- Support residents with specialized needs such as dementia and other diagnoses.
- Follow safety protocols including CPR, First Aid procedures, and emergency response plans
Experience
- Prior experience in home & community care or assisted living environments preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Experience working with individuals with dementia care.
- Familiarity with nursing home procedures or hospice care is advantageous
- Hands-on experience using mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or resident transfer techniques
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manage physically demanding tasks consistently.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid, physical and TB required.
