Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Live-In Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide dedicated care and support for an individual with special needs in a home setting. This role requires a caring and patient individual who can assist with daily living activities while creating a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment. The caregiver will live in the home and provide 24-hour care during scheduled shifts, ensuring the client’s health, safety, and well-being at all times. The ideal candidate is attentive, responsible, and committed to improving the quality of life of the individual they support.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare meals and assist with cooking based on the client’s dietary needs
- Monitor and check blood sugar levels as required and report any concerns
- Provide attentive supervision and personal care for an individual with special needs
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and encouragement in daily activities
- Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning and laundry
- Ensure the client’s comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the day and night
- Communicate effectively in English with the client and healthcare providers when needed
- Drive the client to appointments or errands when required
Requirements
- Must be a female caregiver
- Ability to live in and provide care 24 hours per shift, 4 days per week
- Experience working with individuals with special needs or personal care assistance is preferred
- Ability to assist with bathing, dressing, and personal care
- Comfortable monitoring blood sugar levels and assisting with health-related tasks
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Strong communication skills in English
- Compassionate, dependable, and able to provide respectful care
Experience
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), caregiver, or home health aide is preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with special needs or chronic health conditions is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and provide consistent, high-quality care in a home environment

Pay: $160.00 - $170.00 per day
