Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs, administering medications, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while accommodating dietary restrictions
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization of the client’s space
- Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia by implementing structured routines and engaging activities
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility support
- Document care plans, patient observations, and medication administration accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Engage in patient monitoring to ensure safety during activities and rest periods, especially for individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement
Qualifications
- Must have CMT Cretification.
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and CPR/First Aid certification required
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s or dementia is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
- Strong understanding of HIPAA privacy standards and confidentiality protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
- Flexibility to work in a live-in setting with adaptable schedules as needed
