Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver - Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide exceptional in-home support for individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care strategies
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment through regular cleaning and organization
- Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities and health updates effectively
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and mobility assistance
- Manage behavioral challenges with patience and effective behavior management techniques
- Provide transportation when necessary for appointments or errands, ensuring safe driving practices
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care plans
- Support residents’ social engagement by encouraging participation in activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care in a compassionate manner
- Familiarity with managing residents with developmental disabilities or memory impairments such as Alzheimer’s or dementia
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic nursing procedures
- Experience working with people with disabilities or behavioral challenges preferred
- Group home experience or long-term care background is advantageous
- Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation and communication purposes
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for transportation duties is preferred

Pay: $220.00 per day
