Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated live in Caregiver to provide essential support to elderly in our care homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those in our care.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient care including medication administration.
- Prepare meals.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean living environment.
- Support clients with mobility, including the use of equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Observe and report changes in clients’ conditions or behaviors to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia care requirements.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home health, senior care, or long-term care settings preferred.
- Familiarity with caregiving techniques for individuals with developmental disabilities, or memory-related conditions is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills for effective patient monitoring and assessment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of care plans and experience in assisted living environments is beneficial.
