LIVE-IN Companion Caregiver for Chris
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A LIVE-IN POSITION
My name is Chris and I want to share a unique and rewarding opportunity for you. I need a new roommate, and I’m looking for someone who wants to be my roommate, my friend, while also helping me navigate my community and accomplish my life goals. In return, you will receive a salary PLUS free room and board. I am supported by a company called Steadfast Support Services, where you will be employed.
Let me tell you about myself and what I am looking for in a roommate…
People describe me as active, social, generous, respectful and caring. I have a zest for life and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I LOVE SPORTS, particularly St Louis Cardinals and St Louis Blues Hockey. I try to watch as many games as I can, and I would really like to find a roommate that shares my interest in sports. I also like to play sports, and I have been involved in Special Olympics in the past. I also like to fish. I like to play video games, especially basketball. I like music, and Motown is my favorite. I have a job that I enjoy, and I work most weekdays. On weekends, I like to sleep in. People tell me that I am very easy going, and I can adapt to most any situation. I communicate mostly by sign language and/or an iPad that talks for me.
I am looking for a roommate that loves sports like I do, and is as outgoing and social as I am. Age doesn’t really matter, as long as it is someone with similar interests and can keep up with my active life. I need someone that will be patient with me, and take the effort and time to communicate with me on my iPad. Ideally, I would like someone that knew sign language, but finding someone that would commit to learning to sign the alphabet would be okay too. I don’t like extremely loud people. I also don’t want a roommate that smokes.
