Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend Live-in Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance during weekends. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness, by delivering personalized care in a respectful and nurturing manner. The ideal candidate will be energetic, proactive, and committed to promoting independence and well-being while ensuring safety and comfort at all times.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive personal care, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor residents’ health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards are followed
Administer medications as prescribed, adhering strictly to care plans and medication protocols
Support residents with mobility using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or other equipment; perform heavy lifting when necessary to ensure safety
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
Engage residents in social activities or companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being

Requirements

Proven experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings; experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care or autism is highly valued
Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care are a plus
Knowledge of medication administration, patient observation, and vital signs monitoring
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs
Experience working with care plans and assisting with complex medical or behavioral conditions
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for community-based support
