Join our dedicated team as a Live-In Caregiver, where you will provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals in a home setting. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will work closely with clients to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being while maintaining a respectful and nurturing environment. This position offers the unique opportunity to build trusting relationships and deliver comprehensive care in a home-based setting.
Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and patient observation to monitor health status and respond promptly to changes.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Administer medications accurately following medical instructions and document all medical records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice care, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, vital signs monitors, and assist with medical procedures like medication administration and catheter care.
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation and records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to update patient information accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance quality of life for clients living with disabilities or chronic conditions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes or home health environments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication management, vital signs monitoring, and caregiving best practices.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or dementia training are a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or complex health needs preferred.
- Ability to operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts and perform catheter care safely.
- Strong communication skills to document medical records accurately and coordinate with healthcare teams.
