Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Live-In Caregiver who holds a valid driver’s license to provide personalized, around-the-clock care for clients in their homes. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities by offering comprehensive support with daily activities and health management.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive patient observation to monitor health status and respond promptly to needs
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following medical instructions and document all care activities in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Support clients with medical procedures such as catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and hospice or dementia-related needs
- Operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and assist with transfers using proper techniques
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry
- Maintain detailed medical documentation ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safeguarding patient confidentiality
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory for transportation responsibilities
- Proven experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, or nursing home environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping
- Certifications such as CPR, first aid, or hospice care are highly preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory care needs
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting patients with Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients’ families and healthcare teams
