About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and patient Live-In Caregiver to support two adult women with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). This is more than a job—it is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of two individuals with unique personalities and care needs.
One resident, experiences emotional distress, including disrupted sleep and occasional outbursts. She is navigating the challenges of lost independence and may express frustration toward her circumstances and caregivers. Despite these challenges, she also demonstrates warmth and a desire for connection.
The second resident is gentle, cooperative, and thrives in a structured environment. She requires consistent reminders and hands-on support with daily living tasks, including hygiene. She benefits from encouragement and gentle redirection to engage in a variety of activities beyond her preferred routines.
This role is ideal for someone who is deeply committed to person-centered care, emotionally grounded, and capable of providing both structure and empathy in a dynamic home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide live-in support and companionship to two adult women with TBI.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and structured home environment.
- Assist with daily routines, including hygiene, personal care, medication reminders, and household tasks.
- Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with residents, considering dietary needs and preferences.
- Encourage participation in diverse activities and provide prompts to explore new interests
- Accompany residents on community outings (e.g., church, Special Olympics, shopping, recreation).
- Support emotional regulation and model positive behavior during moments of distress.
- Maintain a clean, organized living space and participate in weekday activities
- Complete documentation and reports accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with other caregivers and the SHARE Foundation to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Pay: $500.00 per week
