Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Live-In Resident Aid, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to residents in a supportive living environment. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors and those with developmental disabilities or memory care requirements. As a Live-In Resident Aid, you will assist with resident cares, medication management, and ADLS.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive personal care, assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs regularly to ensure residents’ health stability
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and maintain detailed medication records using medical record.
- Support residents who are developmentally disabled by implementing specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met in accordance with
- Maintain a clean, organized environment by performing light housekeeping duties within resident rooms and common areas
- Document all care activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with healthcare teams, families, and other caregivers
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred, but not mandatory.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is beneficial
- Ability to work independently in a live-in setting while maintaining professionalism and compassion
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties if needed; reliable transportation is preferred
