Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities. This role involves working closely with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care that meets each individual’s unique needs.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient care and support for individuals with various conditions, including Alzheimer’s, dementia, and developmental disabilities.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's health status.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans developed by healthcare professionals.
- Prepare meals and assist with cooking while ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and organization of the home.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Provide mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Document patient observations and care provided in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Experience
Candidates should have experience in caregiving or related fields such as:
- Home health or hospice care
- Assisted living or nursing home environments
- Working with individuals with disabilities, including autism
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment
- Experience in meal preparation and cooking for special dietary needs
- Understanding of care plans and medication administration protocols
- 2 years experience is preferred
