Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care and support for individuals with diverse needs. This position is paid and requires living on-site to ensure continuous, reliable support.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings promptly
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Maintain a safe, clean living environment by performing regular cleaning tasks and ensuring infection control standards are met
- Support clients with memory care needs related to Alzheimer’s disease or dementia through structured routines and engaging activities
- Document care activities meticulously, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals or family members
Qualifications
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes setting with a focus on senior or disabled individuals
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or dementia-related conditions
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts when necessary
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status
- Experience in medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic nursing tasks
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients’ families and healthcare teams while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality
