Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their homes. THIS IS A LIVE-IN POSITION. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, patience, and empathy, making it a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about helping others.
Duties
well versed in mood disorders is great including Schizophrenia
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Uphold resident rights and ensure dignity is maintained at all times.
- Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or disabilities, adapting approaches as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification in CPR is preferred.
- Experience in medication administration is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in caregiving or working in a nursing home setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients effectively.
- Familiarity with caring for individuals with autism or other disabilities is beneficial.
- Strong ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by client needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of those you care for.

Pay: $130.00 - $150.00 per day
