- Deliver attentive patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health management.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care activities, medication administration, and patient progress in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Support residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities through specialized memory care techniques and compassionate engagement.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties including cleaning living areas, laundry, and ensuring a safe environment for all residents.
- Use effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams, family members, and social workers to deliver holistic care.
- Proven experience in home health care or assisted living environments with a strong understanding of senior care and long-term caregiving.
- Hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments.
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and basic nursing skills necessary for emergency response situations.
- Familiarity with care plans development and medication administration protocols aligned with HIPAA standards.
- Prior group home or nursing home experience is highly desirable for understanding complex patient needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
