Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care and support for individuals with diverse needs. Duties
- Provide comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning living spaces, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Support residents with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s disease or dementia through memory care techniques and structured routines
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Hands-on experience with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is advantageous
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality in all aspects of caregiving
- Experience utilizing care plans to deliver personalized support and implementing patient monitoring strategies
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when required
- Strong background in home health or long-term care environments that emphasize compassionate caregiving and social work principles
