Live-In Caregiver & Mentor for Young Adult on the Autism Spectrum
Location: Malibu / Santa Barbara, CA
Position Type: Live-In | 24-Hour Rotational Shifts
Reports To: Josh Brazier – Director of Structure & Family Systems
Secondary Oversight: Family Leadership Team
Role Overview
We are seeking a grounded, emotionally intelligent, and highly engaged Live-In Caregiver & Mentor to support a young adult on the autism spectrum within a structured, growth-oriented home environment.
This role is relationship-based, purposeful, and active. The ideal candidate brings presence, creativity, accountability, and heart — while supporting independence, routine, and long-term life skill development.
This is not a passive supervision role. We are looking for someone who takes pride in meaningful engagement, structure, and being part of a professional care team focused on real progress.
Core Purpose of the Role
The caregiver is part of a larger developmental mission:
To support the growth of independence, confidence, routine, and life skills that lead toward employment, volunteering, community integration, and long-term success.

- Creating structured and meaningful experiences
- Thoughtfully observing and testing growth
- Gaining insights from those experiences
- Adjusting approach and expectations as needed
- Providing the next level of challenge and opportunity to support continued growth
The goal is not simply to maintain the status quo, but to actively help move the individual forward — building capacity, confidence, and competence one step at a time.
This role is dynamic, relational, and intentionally progressive, with routine, creativity, and purposeful engagement serving as the foundation for long-term success.
