We are currently seeking a compassionate caregiver for a 90-year-old female, who is very independent; mild memory loss; prefers a hands-off, dignity-first approach. Enjoys gardening and cooking; occasional iPad/tech help.
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate caregiver who can de-escalate and redirect effectively, maintaining calm and professionalism during moments of confusion or frustration — without involving the family unnecessarily.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional caregiving experience, including extensive dementia and memory care expertise, and a proven ability to support independent seniors with dignity, patience, and respect.
Client offer is $250/day.
Patient is former Spanish & Italian professor
Schedule:
- Preference for one consistent caregiver; open to 7-on/7-off rotation.
- Spanish or Italian speaking is a plus
What you’ll do
- Gentle reminders (meals, meds, orientation), companionship on her terms.
- Meal planning and co-cooking; kitchen safety oversight.
- Light housekeeping and laundry on agreed routine.
- Basic tech help; safety awareness (stove/microwave, fall prevention).
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years dementia/memory care; success with “resistant to care” clients.
- Patient, warm, relationship-builder; unobtrusive and respectful.
- Strong references and background check; live-in boundaries/professionalism.
- Driver’s license preferred. Spanish or Italian a plus. Enjoys gardening a plus.
