About the Role:
As a live-in caregiver through Apex Social Group, you’ll work one-on-one with a child or young adult with special needs in a home setting. You’ll become an integral part of the family's daily life, supporting your participant with communication, daily routines, and engaging activities — all while helping them thrive in a structured, compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities, including toileting, meals, dressing, bathing, and medication.
- Support alternative communication methods, including AAC devices and/or sign language (ASL).
- Implement structured routines using visual schedules and social stories.
- Provide transportation to therapy sessions, community outings, and recreational activities (via family car or rideshare service).
- Participate in and encourage meaningful recreational and social activities, such as swimming, dancing, attending events, or exploring nature.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as preparing meals, laundry, and tidying up shared spaces.
Who You Are:
- Passionate about working with individuals with special needs (especially autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, or neurological conditions).
- Experience with alternative communication is a plus — familiarity with AAC, speech/language development, or ASL is ideal.
- Patient, safety-conscious, organized, and committed to providing a fun and structured environment.
- Open to relocating for a live-in position with a host family (relocation support provided).

Pay: $23.09 - $27.81 per hour
